Deborah Page Projects presents an Artist Talk with Erin Cunningham at Scott + Cooner May 12th from 5-7 pm. Cunningham's latest series of work, "Elemental Topography" shown last month at the Dishman Art Museum in Beaumont, will be displayed and the topic of her discussion. Other work from this series was also featured in the "NAT:24" New American Talent Exhibition at Arthouse in 2009. Cunningham has an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. She is also the recipient of the BAER Artist Residency in Hofsos, Iceland and the Ox-Bow School of the Arts Fellowship. She currently teaches at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Cunningham is the second artist in a series of art talks held at Scott + Cooner on the 2nd Thursday of each month, in conjunction with "I Art Congress" the downtown art walk including Austin Details Art + Photo, Arthouse at the Jones Center, Austin Museum of Art, Austin Creative Alliance, Authenticity Gallery, and Mexic-Arte Museum. Recently Deborah Page Projects has teamed up with Scott + Cooner to present contemporary art in their design showroom in downtown Austin. |
